Melinda has been offering Reiki services for 20 years, Reflexology for around 7 years, and has been a Minister for about 6 years. She first found Reiki when she was seeking help and healing for her two sons, but what she found through her spiritual endeavors was not what she'd expected. "It wasn't them that needed the healing, but it was me. When I realized there was nothing wrong with them but only with my perspective of them, it changed everything, and that's when my healing journey began." 

With a rich background in healthcare and a deep passion for holistic healing, I have been a dedicated healer for over 40 years. After graduating from nursing school in 1983, I specialized in cardiac care and hospice, providing compassionate and expert care to patients in critical moments. In 1993, a life-changing introduction to alternative medicine sparked a curiosity that would guide the next chapter of my professional journey. Combining both medicines, I aim to bring healing to our community.

 I've long had a desire to help others. Since starting my own Reiki journey, I've seen the benefits within myself and in those with whom I've worked. It is now part of my mission of helping others in the realm of energy healing by guiding you on your path to well-being through the gentle power of Reiki. With a compassionate approach, I am dedicated to empowering you on your journey to greater balance and well-being.

I graduated from Radford University in 2017 majoring in Chemistry. Shortly after, I found Reiki and I quickly dove into many other aspects of spirituality. Over the years, I've learned a lot about self-compassion and have found many connections between science and the spiritual.  Through my business, Gray Compass Creations, and its connection with Sacred Light Sanctuary, I seek to make a difference through helping others feel safe and find compassion and healing on their journey.
